Toys aren’t just for kids anymore, and adult “play” plus alternate uses for toys has been growing in popularity for years. Have you seen any videos of parents trying to figure out how to use their kids’ toys...and failing? Or, perhaps an adult unboxing a toy or product and showing how to use these “toys” for uses around the house? Here at ezpz we have encountered these stories first-hand, as adults are using our products for all sorts of things outside of infant + toddler feeding. Check out some of the ways even adults are using the Play Mat.
Card Organizer: I used the Play Mat as a card organization station when I was sending out holiday cards. The compartments of the Play Mat kept my address labels, stamps, pens, cards and envelopes handy and available for me to fill out. The soft silicone surface of the Play Mat makes for easy handwriting and helped with the fatigue of writing out all the cards. Once our cards were sent, we used the card station (i.e., Play Mat) to store the holiday cards we received. This was a nice visual reminder to send additional cards when needed (oops, forgot Aunt X this year, for example!). The dedicated space kept us organized during a chaotic holiday, and it will be used again for birthday party invitations!
Bowl Holder: I use the Play Mat’s suction function to hold the mixing bowl while I’m stirring pancake or cake mix. Regardless of whether I’m using a fork or an electric mixer to stir ingredients, I make a mess. Luckily, the surface of the mat catches the spills. Another cool feature is that the silicone material decreases the noise that is usually made from the combination of an electric mixer + metal mixing bowl + tiled surface.
Office Organizer: Need to grab a quick rubber band or thumbtack? Using the Play Mat to organize your workspace is a great timesaver. You can quickly and easily snatch up what you need versus sifting through an unorganized junk drawer or boxes of office supplies.
Handyman Work: We also use the Play Mat to hold nails, screws, hooks, screwdrivers and the like when working on home projects. The compartments are great for separating different sizes of screws and washers for easy assembling. It’s a great holder for garage jobs too! The lip of the mat keeps tools from falling off the workbench and makes those hard to find washers and nuts easy to see.
Adult Crafting: Moms tell me that they use the Play Mat for their personal crafting needs. Adult coloring books are super popular right now, and having an organized space for the pencils, erasers and pencil sharpers is key when you are trying to find ten minutes to yourself! Beading work, jewelry making and adult holiday crafts are more examples of how to use the mat. Don’t dive into Pinterest until you have our Play Mat next to you!
