Our Blab show this month, titled Feeding Tips for Children with Down Syndrome, was both fun and informative! To celebrate Trisomy Awareness Month, I interviewed three moms on the feeding struggles with this population. We discussed picky-eating issues, advancing to new food textures, drinking from an open cup or straw and feeding tips that really work!

In case you don’t know, our team uses Blab in two unique ways:

Discussions & Interviews: Every month I choose a new topic and answer questions that are either emailed to me or asked from the audience (in the chat bar) during the Blab show. We usually have 2-4 guests (a mix of experts or parents) on the show that I interview about a topic and we discuss it in detail. We record the show so others can enjoy it later if they can’t attend live. You can check out our last replay here.

Coaching & Teaching: More parents are turning to the Internet for accurate educational content on picky eating. We provide this expertise on our show in a fun, coachable way!

Basically, we use Blab to live-stream our conversations over the internet to an audience of therapists and parents in order to foster a community focused on sharing information and experiences.
