This mat is slightly too large for our high chair tray. If I cut a little bit off, it would fit, but.... will it still suction? Is this advisable?

Does this fit on the Stokke trip trap high chair tray?

The Tiny Bowl or Stokke specific mats (only found at retailers) fit that tray.

I put these in the dishwasher for the first time and they came out with this strange white coating all over. It seems to wipe off but I wonder if they are safe to use… though these were dishwasher safe?
